Stuides on the enhance elver’s survival rate / 提昇養殖幼鰻培育活存率之研究

碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 水產養殖學系 / 95 / The thesis investigated the relationship between elver’s survival rate and bacterial count/composition of red worm. The possible relationship between common flora countants and bacteria disease outbreak was also studied.
Aeromonas hydrophila and Aeromonas spp. were the dominant bacterial species in eel farm, followed by Enterbacteriaceae, Citrobacter spp., Pseudomonas spp., Flavobacterium, Edwardsiella tarda and Chryseomonas luteola. The bacterial counts may be variable, the change was affected by season. The bacterial counts rised when water temperature elerated.
Composition of bacterium of red worm included Aeromonas hydrophila, Enterbacteriaceae, Citrobacter spp., Chryseomonas luteola, Flavobacterium spp., Edwardsiella tarda, Pseudomonas spp.
The change of bacterial count was also affected by season as that observed in eel farm.
The reduction of bacterial counts in red worm to enhance elver’s survival rate was studied. The attractiveness of red worm to after treated with disinfectante was also investigated. The best result of disinfecting was using 4ppm chlorine dioxide for 30 minute and ozone 0.15ppm disinfect for 60 minute , both treatments could improve 15% survival rate of elvers.
When the elvers fed with eel diets(eel powder meal) containing Vitamin C and Vitamin E , an increase 10% elver’s survival rate were achiered. When the elvers were fed the above diets supplemented with glucan, an increase 20% survival rate.
The eel powder mea, red worm, with the nourishing oral liquid of glucan or Edwardsiella tarda bacterium vaccine were mixed together to feed the elvers. The result showed that the group survival rate of fed with glucan to contrast the group with the group fed of glucan nourishing oral liquid were 15% higher than control group.
