碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 河海工程學系 / 95 / This study focuses on regular wave propagating over an asymmetric trench on the sea floor to explore wave reflection and shoaling. The reflection coefficient was affected by wave height, wavelength, width, length, both sides depth of trench. When 0.75 wave high behind the trench, the result shows that as the reflecting rate is smaller than 0.3, displacement of both sides of the trench is greater than 0.5 times water depth, the reflecting rate decreases.
Wave shoaling occurs when depth variation reaches 0.625 times water depth. Wave separated takes place, relating verify with incident wave spectrum. The cycle wave of 1.7sec, the wave form obviously has a phenomenon that is split into two at the place behind the trench 4m.
