Experimental Study on the Wave Energy Dissipation Due to the Offshore Porous Structure / 離岸多孔隙結構物消波特性之實驗研究

碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 河海工程學系 / 95 / Preservation of coastal ecology and aesthetics are the new requirements for designing coastal structures, besides that of providing safety for human activities and properties. One solution to the new requirements is deployment of offshore porous structures in steep slope coast. It not only reduces large wave energy in offshore area, but also alters the coastal environment ecologically. To reach this purpose, a series of physical experiments were conducted for investigate the reflection, transmission characteristics and energy dissipation of offshore piled-structures in this research. The experimental results indicate that dual fixed structure has the largest reflection coefficient in all kind of offshore structures considered in this study. Dual fixed and floating structures are better efficient than single fixed or floating structure in wave energy dissipation. When porous of the structure is small, the wave energy dissipation efficiency of the characteristic length S/Ls=4 for dual fixed structure is better than that of S/Ls=2. The trend is not obvious while the porous of the structure is increasing.
