碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 海洋環境資訊學系 / 95 / The aims of this thesis are to study the distributions of nitrogen species and major ions in the marine atmosphere around Taiwan. In this study, the correlations and principal component analysis (PCA) are used to understand the derived sources of particulate aerosols. 105 aerosol samples were achieved by in-situ shipboard high volume sampler from December 2004 to March 2007. The samples were extracted by Milli-Q pure water and nitrogen species (NO2-, NO3-, NH4+ and dissolved organic nitrogen) and major ions (F-, Cl-, Br-, SO42-, PO43-, C2O42-, Na+, Mg2+ and Ca2+) were then analyzed by photometer and ion chromatography, respectively. The results show that the concentrations of NH4+, NO3-, NO2- and dissolved organic nitrogen (DON) varied at ranges of 0.34-234 nmol/m3, 2.67-361 nmol/m3, 0.05-60 nmol/m3 and 60.5-593 nmol/m3, respectively. The high concentrations of dissolved inorganic nitrogen (DIN) and DON occurred in the coastal area, nevertheless, the low concentrations were found in the northeastern sea area.
The correlation coefficients among Cl-, Na+, K+, Mg2+ and Ca2+, NO2-, NO3- and NH4+, and NH4+ and non-seasalt SO42- are above 0.7, 0.3 and 0.75, respectively. Furthermore, the results of PCA show that Factor 1 represents the derived sources of fossil fuel combustion and biomass burning which include NO3-, nss-SO42-, nss-K+ and C2O42-; Factor 2 represents the oceanic derived sources which include Na+ and Mg2+; and Factor 3 represents the derived sources of agricultural activities and biological behaviors which include NO3-, NH4+ and PO43-.
