The current trend is that every organization keen to promote knowledge management. Knowledge management is not only a collection of data and information, but also a process that enables their effective use, because the concept of knowledge-in-motion brings up the notion that knowledge flows amongst people. Knowledge sharing practices are significant factors for knowledge management. Promoting knowledge management through knowledge sharing effectively is a key issue in practices and academics.
Based on the related literature on knowledge sharing, this study proposed five dimensions and twenty-three indicators to classify influence of knowledge sharing. Those dimensions are staff behavior, team atmosphere, organizational system, partner relationship, and technology support. Moreover, this study develops an evaluation model of the influence of knowledge sharing by combing fuzzy integral and analytic hierarchy process (AHP), which serves as the basis for assessing the climate of organizational knowledge sharing. Finally, this study adopts a case of shipping industry to confirm the practically derived from this evaluation model.
The results of this study are summarized as follows:
1. Forwarders focus on the dimensios of partner relationship and technology support.
2. Shipping carriers focus on the dimensions of staff behavior and team atmosphere.
3. The key dimensions for shipping industry to classify the influence of knowledge sharing is organizational system.
