碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 商船學系所 / 95 / It has been ten years since Offshore Transshipment Center in operation from 1997 to clean out and generalize the achievement, background, changes and problems generated over the past ten years use SWOT to evaluate trend, strength and weakness of the development of Offshore Transshipment Center to bring up conclusion and suggestion with PDCA operation mode to correct the way of operation of Offshore Transshipment Center.
The Kaohsiung port is the biggest commercial port in Taiwan with a certain ratio of the transshipment business and it strengthen the capacity of the transshipment since it started in operation. The growth of transshipment quantity of near by ports influence the capability of Kaohsiung port.
Nevertheless, the operation and development of the transshipment center has a direct influence to the development of our ports and competition of our merchant ships.
Furthermore , to consider the changes of condition in international transshipment, the influence of changes to the rim of environment and to analyze the beneficial result of Offshore Transshipment Center’s operation and then, through this research to conclude and recommend the growth and decline of the superiority, inferiority and comparison the tendency of the future to bring forth some advantage to the development of our ports.
