The Influence of Globalization on Chartered Container Vessel's Operations / 論全球化對貨櫃船論時傭船營運之影響

To mention the globalization origin, history and present status of affairs to be discussed in this article, we are also to study the environment and security issue.

The Character and mode of marine container liner operation and trading, we aimed the influence and risk management for the container ship time charter practice of the marine container liner service.

For the sake of suggestion of the long term strategy to Charterers in a time charter basis, to use the SWOT skill combined with the risk coordinates method to analyze and found the following conclusion.
1. Container ship time Charterers to avoid a Owners’ credit risks and vessels’ off specification risks, by closely communication and information exchanges with chartering competitor.
2. Global security, counter-terrorist and new environmental protection convention will increase Owners’ and Charterers’ costs, but also can upgrade Owners’ managing ability to protect liner operator (Charterers) right and interests, Charterers to focus a long term period time charter strategy for reducing the risks.
