碩士 / 東吳大學 / 社會學系 / 95 / The purpose of this study was to discuss the state of reciprocal relationship between love and taste/style, and the emergence of this relationship under the era context. On the other hand, if there is such relationship between love and taste/style, it is intriguing to ask that whether the attractive lover’s image under the “love scene” of the consumer society a person or object? Whether lover/fetishism is an ambiguous state? This paper set the background of the question on the semi-colonial Shanghai, and used Lacan/ Žižek’s psychoanalysis to interpret the love segments of this era through the images of men and women of Shanghai culture. The results showed that the so-called “ideal lover” is the signifier in fantasy by urban culture.
