The Research on the Relationship of Organizational Commitment and mployee Performance of Logistic Sergeant–Case of the Air Force ogistic Profession Sergeant / 後勤士官組織承諾與工作績效之關係研究-以空軍後勤專業士官為例

碩士 / 樹德科技大學 / 經營管理研究所 / 95 / The Armed Forces sergeants play a key role of mission employment, combat force support, and operation success. Based on the strategic concept that logistics is the shield of warfare (Zhang, 2005)and satisfaction of new generation forces construction requirement, the logistic sergeants seem more important. Under the condition of forces construction, Armed Forces continually modify the sergeant organization to recruit the civil technical manpower and promote Armed Forces quality to be the elite, compact, and strong modernization forces. Air Force logistic units are not only the integrated, disciplined, and committed organization, but also the expert, loyal, and performance emphasis units. The object of this research is to study the relation amount characteristic differences of logistic sergeants who have been through the policy about organization commitment, and employee performance.
This research adopted quantitative questionnaire investigation. Based on the theory research of paper survey, and the definitions of organizational commitment and employee performance which were proposed by Porter, Steer, Mowday&Boulian (1974) and Borman&Motowidlo (1993). Data collection tools such as “personal background variables”, “organizational commitment level chart”, and “employee performance evaluation chart” were made by considering repliers’ working environment and characteristic. The object of this research is the logistic profession sergeants of the Air Force and took the 304 samples randomly in the individual layer. The staudy data was analyzed by the statistical techniques such as descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, One-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation and multiple regression of the SPSS v10.1 program.
The conclusions of this research included:(1)the awareness of organizational commitment of Air Force logistic sergeants is mid-up,(2)the awareness of employee performance of Air Force logistic sergeants is mid-up,(3)Air Force logistic sergeants with different background have different awareness of organizational commitment,(4)Air Force logistic sergeants with different background have different awareness of employee performance,(5)the correlation of organizational commitment and employee performance are highly-related.
The research proposed the constructive suggestions to Air Force logistic sergeants, Air Force logistic units, manpower management units, and the following researchers for further planning and research reference.
