碩士 / 東海大學 / 景觀學系 / 95 / People of disabilities have the same right and process to be educated and socialized. The generalized meaning on barrier-free facility should fit for normal use, that is a kind of ” Universal design”. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the satisfaction of seven barrier-free slope-ways in Tunghai University. We try to discuss various characteristics of slope-ways including the guiding way, the paving, the slope, the width, the distance, and the arm’s form and height. This research also discuss what was the factor to influence the degree of satisfaction about the user’s individual attributes, and try to understand whether the situations of nowadays meet the need and satisfaction on the barrier-free facility. The result shows that there are significant differences of the individual user’s attributes to influence the satisfaction on some barrier-free slope-ways. Finally we find that the entrance of slope-way must be obvious to find easily, or will lengthen the path and time, and lower the degree of users’ satisfaction. The legal’s slope of slope-way is 1/12. By this research we find that if the slope of slope-ways is bigger than 1/15 (6.5% the slope), users will feel strenuously on uphill path, and easily to lose control on downhill path. If the pavings of slope-ways are too rough or too smooth to use, the users’ satisfaction will lower. The barrier-free slope-way needs arm to protect the user of wheelchair.
