碩士 / 國立臺北科技大學 / 能源與冷凍空調工程系碩士班 / 95 / Taiwan is surrounded by sea, therefore desalination technology can supply fresh water resources lacked gradually. In the desalinization methods, the reverse osmosis (RO) technology has several advantages, such as low energy consumption and simple engineering, so it is adopted by the countries all over the world gradually. On the other hand, the hydrogen production from biomass gasification has high conversion efficiency, and it can be utilized on biomass hydrogen energy fuel cell system for high-energy efficiency and low contamination.
High temperature fuel cell can produce electricity and release heat simultaneously. If the produced electricity and released heat can be utilized on reverse osmosis intergrated membrane desalination system, the system can develop the best performance. Therefore, this thesis concentrates on the hybrid system of biomass gasification, fuel cell and desalination technology as a major topic. In order to analyze the biomass gasification combined with fuel cell and desalination systems, we will state the performance of biomass energy fuel cell on desalination system application, by using fresh water production, energy-water ratio (EWR), and coefficient of performance (COP) as design parameters, to develop an optimum design of high-efficiency biomass energy fuel cell/desalination cogeneration system.
