Accompanied with the economics development, the warming issue of the earth is more seriously and would also affect the shipping business. We stand from the viewpoint of shipping company, making the decision of containership size which also considering the environmental issue. As the emerge of partner relationship in supply chain, the thesis also considered the strategic alliance between shipping company and its customers. By introducing TOPSIS, we could provide decision makers to decide the property ship size under various routes shipments. We also introduced the cost-relation curve to identify the relationship between operation cost and inventory cost,. The construction of this study are as: As longer route or more shipment, the bigger or faster containership would have the advantage than other smaller and slower containership. The ship size which considering the environmental issue would equal or greater than the ship size which without considering. Besides less shipment, the ship size which considering the strategic alliance would less or equal to the ship size which without considering the strategic alliance.
