碩士 / 建國科技大學 / 自動化工程系暨機電光系統研究所 / 96 / The dissolved oxygen (DO) is one of the most important factors to evaluate the quality of water. Usually, the waterwheel is used to provide sufficient oxygen for fish and others in the aquafarm. However, the determination of waterwheel operation (on or off) normally depends on the human experience. Generally, the waterwheel is switched on for quite a long time and thus requires a lot of electricity power. As a result, extra power consumption can not be avoided. This case study is to develop an Internet-based automation DO monitoring and control system in order to reduce the electricity consumption but to maintain the water quality. Furthermore, the history of DO information can be recorded and tracked in the database for a long term DO investigation.
