Finite Element Analysis Of Composite Beams with Formed Steel Deck / 含鋼浪板合成梁之有限元素分析

碩士 / 逢甲大學 / 土木工程所 / 96 / Steel-concrete composite beams with formed steel deck are commonly used in steel buildings. Due to the economics of manpower and material cost provided by finite element analysis, the major objective of this research is to develop an ABAQUS analysis model based on layered shell element to investigate the behavior of composite beams with formed steel deck. The interface simulation between the contact surfaces of layers, the assignment of boundary conditions, and the determination of material theory and properties are the main considerations for the model development. The verification of the analysis model was conducted by comparing the analysis values with the nominal ones calculated based on design specifications. After several attempts of modification, the developed model was used to perform a series of analyses to investigate the ultimate strength and failure behavior of different composite beams. The failure patterns of composite beams including concrete cracks and steel yielding were investigated. Besides, since the orientations of deck ribs would limit the locations to weld the shear studs, the effects of the amount of shear studs as well as the orientations of ribs were discussed. From the results of analysis, several conclusions are drawn as follows. The variations between the ultimate bending moments obtained by analysis and the nominal moments calculated by specifications are within 10%. The amount of shear studs significantly influences the ultimate capacity and failure patterns of composite beams. Most concrete elements surrounding shear studs displayed severe cracks due to the load transfer between concrete slab and steel section by studs. Besides, concrete elements within deck ribs perpendicular to steel beam carry low stresses and display no cracks. On the other hand, concrete elements within deck ribs parallel to steel beam display much higher stresses which induces lots of cracks.
