碩士 / 輔仁大學 / 德國語文學系 / 96 / February 17, 2006 is the 150th anniversary of the death of German poet Heinrich Heine. In the history of German literature, Heine is an extremely important Romantic poet in 19th century. He broke through the traditional romantic writing and used everyday language, personal experiences and an ironic style in his poetry. His columns in newspapers and travel reports brought to German literary works a new writing model and gave it a relaxed elegant literary style. Heine is not only a poet and journalist of international political and cultural fame, but also a highly ironic critic and polemic prose writer. His contributions influenced German literature and democratic thinking.
He was born in a Europe of social and political upheaval, and this created Heine’s contradictory personality. Heine was the subject of controversy and exclusion by the German people and scholars, but his contributions had an enormous impact on many other countries, so scholars gradually began analytical study of Heine from early in the literature research perspective, then currently in diversified areas, to show the many facets of Heine and his important influence and contributions.
According to the theory of text-linguistic analysis from German linguist Klaus Brinker, this thesis will review the relevant biographical reports of the 150th anniversary of the death of Heinrich Heine in German magazines and will discuss how the reporters will present the role and status of Heine on this occasion. At the same time, in accordance with the communicational functions theory of text-linguistics, readers will have access to new and relevant information about Heine provided by journalists.
