碩士 / 義守大學 / 管理研究所碩士班 / 96 / The outsourcing of the business logistics activities in transportation and distribution is common not only in small-and-medium-sized enterprises (SMES) but also these of in U.S. Fortune 500 enterprises. The cost of procurement can be cut down and the efficiency of distribution can be promoted through the abovementioned outsourcing process. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze what quality management requirements in transportation and distribution are required. Through the literature, the study establishes an operational outsourcing process to serve as a roadmap to determine the worth at the different level of the process.
This article presents a new view of value engineering in which the “function” is substituted by “worth”. In order to determine the worth at each level of the process, this article conducts a questionnaire and analyzes it statistically to verify the quality categorization of hypothesis.
This research applies four dimensions including operational process, outsourcing strategy, service quality management, and transportation strategy to testify the feasibility and adoptability of the outsourcing system in the logistics transportation and distribution. The result shows that all dimensions are significantly positive, which will serve as an useful guideline in practice.
