碩士 / 開南大學 / 空運管理學系 / 96 / In view of market demand for pilots and development tendency for aviation business in Asia area after three links between Taiwan and the Chinese Mainland on July this year, this thesis will focus on discussing a flight training center set up in Taiwan for the purpose of providing the necessary expertise to pilots and the theory and practice of its funds requirements.
Under the concepts of the “market first, factory second” and everlasting operation, the top task of the flight training center is to make certain of the market demand, and then to engage in the recruitment work.
After making certain of the market demand for pilots, we can firstly ally with foreign flight schools which have excellent performance records, and cooperatively set up a company in Taiwan, including a flight training center to recruit pilots who have to take courses in flight.
Secondly, we can continually look for the proper place as a flight training center. Airport location for flying training and source of airplanes must be elaborated so as to set up a complete production line and brand that we can train the foremost pilots by ourselves.
Finally, we can establish a Business Airway. The planes which are not used by the students training in the flight training center in normal times and the pilots can be assigned to serve the air transport market. As a result, we can make use of the planes and pilots of the flight training center not only to train the outstanding pilots but also to operate business airlines. In this way, the objectives of the flight training center, that is, “market first, factory second” and “no talent is to be wasted, while the utility of things should be exhausted” can be achieved.
