碩士 / 龍華科技大學 / 工程技術研究所 / 96 / As the industrial product becoming smaller, the need for heat dissipation is becoming more stringent. Though the technology advances rapidly, the use of heat sink is still a major method for heat dissipation.
This research uses the numerical method to analyze the performance of heat dissipation for heat sink under an impingent jet. A commercial software for heat and flow, CFD-RC, is used for calculation. The distances between rows and columns of fins, fin’s setting angle, and the distance between the jet and the heat sink are used as parameters to optimize the heat dissipation by Taguchi method. A further study, different slenderness of fins, was performed to investigate the effect of heat dissipation based on the conditions determined by Taguchi method at same area for heat dissipation. Calculations show that different slenderness has different performance for heat dissipation at different Renolds number. This result shows that the performance of heat dissipation is associated with flow pattern and cannot be totally standardized.
