碩士 / 國立成功大學 / 海洋科技與事務研究所 / 96 / In recent years, the numbers of people in whole world have already exceeded 6 billion because of the development of science, technology and medicine. Nearly 65 ％ of the population live near the coastal zone, so the use of marine resources is much important in human life and developing history. People utilizing the resources frequently, for instance, fishery, visits, industrial development, etc., leading to the destruction of biological habitat, extinction of spices, etc., so the experts start to promote the conception of sustainability.
In order to conserve the marine living resources, this paper purpose to introduce the view of the marine protected areas( MPA) which has implemented for a long time abroad as the structure of ecological conservation, First, to analyse if it is possible to practice the MPA in Penghu by introducing the international conception about MPA. Secondly, making review about existing protected areas and the strategies of management. We further extend the strategies to match the situation presently, and bring other strategies of conservation and management in marine living resources in Penghu. At last we can proposal appropriate management and protection to marine ecosystem in Penghu.
