Fresh water fish spatial distribution in Bei-Nan River / 卑南溪淡水魚空間分佈之研究

碩士 / 國立東華大學 / 環境政策研究所 / 96 / Abstract
The main purpose of this study is to understand the distribution of fresh water fishes in Ben-Nan River and its future habitat. An index of bio-diversity and SPSS software are utilized to analyze the current conditions of fish and environmental factors. Furthermore, GIS is used to explore the relationship between species distribution and ecological environments.
Data collection began from June, 2002 to November, 2003.Two types of factors: physical and artificial development factors, such as altitude, precipitation, water temperature, human population density, distance between road and riparian, distance between building and riparian, have been included during the collecting period. Those data provide researcher to explore the relationships between fish species in river and environments. Eight environmental factors, which are possible to affect fish habitat, are analyzed through factor analysis, results indicated distance between buildings and riparian, water temperature, Electrical conductivity (EC), Dissolved Oxygen (DO)and PH are major sources of influence on fish distribution in Ben-Nan River.
Furthermore, a fish spatial distribution model for Taitung country is established, and restoration strategies for fish in Ben-Nan River corridor are proposed in this thesis, also.
