碩士 / 國立高雄海洋科技大學 / 航運管理研究所 / 96 / There are some great topics to integrate the exclusive container terminals and improve the effectiveness for container ship upsizing at Kaohsiung port, furthermore, the growth of container throughputs is gradually decreasing, that deriving from the sustainable demand of exclusive terminals are stagnated. The purposes of this thesis are to explore the influential incentives of joint operation between the exclusive terminal operators, and to catch on the Reward Measures of increasing throughput and port fee for port authority. The Analytic Hierarch Process (AHP) and Data-analysis are the methodology.
Results show that “Valid utilities of resource in terminal” is the most influential incentive for container terminal joint operators between adjacent exclusive terminals, and “Promotion of service quality in terminal” is the most one between un-adjacent exclusive terminals. For the effect of reward measures, It indeed could decrease the port operation cost and increase the throughputs, construct the reposition center of empty boxes in Kaohsiung. Finally, suggestions are proposed that we must adopt variable market-strategies and reward-measures to diminish the operation costs and attract the container carriers at Kaohsiung port.
