碩士 / 國立高雄海洋科技大學 / 航運管理研究所 / 96 / Container terminal is the important operating spot for the international liner shipping company in order to complete the supply chain of container shipment. In recent years, most of port loading and unloading utilize the mechanized operation and increase the risk in the port simultaneously. Based on the experience in the past, the accidence resulted from artificial mistake or mechanical factor lead to serious death or the property loss. So this paper is to investigate the risk management of the handling operation of liner shipping company in Kaohsiung container port.
The main purpose of our paper discusses the risk factors influencing the safety of terminal operation. The risky areas include the shipside operation area, container stacking area and empty container operation area. Based on recognizing resource of the risk, we can realize the problem in the operating processes and measure the loss frequency as well as loss severity. To the end in this paper, we will establish the strategy to decrease the accidence and the operating cost in order to implement efficiently the risk management of the industry.
