Evaluation the standing stock and diel behavior pattern of fish school in the second artificial reef region off Fangliao, Pingtung County / 屏東縣枋寮第二人工魚礁區魚群現存量評估與日週行為模式之研究

碩士 / 國立高雄海洋科技大學 / 漁業生產與管理研究所 / 96 / The second artificial reef region in the waters off Fang-Liao was mainly composed of eight steel-reefs and two groups of concrete-reefs. To investigate the standing stock and diel behavior pattern of fish school, a Simrad EY-500 portable scientific echo sounder and an acoustic Doppler current profiler were used to investigate the in situ target strength (TS), current direction and current velocity data on October 14th~15th and November 12th~13th, 2007. In situ TS and TS number data were analyzed with two-way ANOVA. The relationship between current velocity, sea surface temperature and the TS number, TS values was tested with Person’s correlation analysis, respectively.
The migration of fish school was mainly effected by the current direction in the region of the artificial reefs. Results showed that the in situ TS and TS number of fish school near the artificial reefs were significantly (p<0.01) effected by factors of space, time and spatiotemporal interaction. Pearson correlation analysis showed that the in situ TS and TS number of fish school were non-significant correlated with current velocity, but significantly correlated with water temperature. The results suggested that the TS number and TS value were effected by varied diel water temperature obviously, but non-significantly correlated with current velocity.
