The Simulation Analysis of Viscosity Effect on the Field for a Marine Diesel Engine Injection Nozzle / 船用柴油機單一油孔噴油器模擬黏度對流場影響之研究

碩士 / 國立高雄海洋科技大學 / 輪機工程研究所 / 96 / The diesel oil fuel injection system is a key point factor of an engine revolving efficiency. So, there is a need to study and explore the system. In order to discuss the efficiency of diesel oil engine, the main purpose is to control the fuel atomization quality including the size of the atomized droplets, penetration, the droplets of distributed range, and its characteristics. The goal of this research is using the simulation method to explore the diesel oil droplets pitch off time, diesel oil droplet velocity, characteristics on the field under the various diesel oil viscosities and various fuel oil pump pressure to the diesel oil nozzle that are useful information to the research in the injection characteristics from the combustion system.
The result of this study showed that while the diesel oil droplet velocity and sizes were increased the atomization, penetration, and combustion efficiency were decreased. Finally, arising the diesel oil pressure, the characteristics of the diesel oil area of surface, uniform distribution, atomization and mixture with air supply would be better improved. Therefore the best combustion condition were under the situations as follows, the viscosity of 1.80E-3 kg/m-s, droplet pitch-off time as 4.07E-5 seconds, droplet pitch-off distance as 4.04E-4m and the droplet pitch-off velocity as 12.013 m/s.
