碩士 / 國立高雄第一科技大學 / 系統資訊與控制研究所 / 96 / The paper is devoted to the design and experimental methods for an injection plastic impeller of paddlewheel aerator. In experimental tests, we manufacture several impeller models of metal plates with various cross-sections and weep-holes. Performing the experiments and measuring all kind of parameters, we choose the best cross-section area and weep-holes that are suitable for business demand. In numerical design, we build up a 3D solid model of the impeller and then use the software of finite element method to analyze the structural stresses. Based on these analysis results, we adjust the shapes of impeller and eliminate the sharp point with stress concentration. Finally, we manufacture a impeller model with 1:1 ratio and perform the actual experiments to validate the design performance for the purpose of reducing the weight and cost.
