碩士 / 國立高雄第一科技大學 / 資訊管理所 / 96 / With respect to the behavior of knowledge community users, the leading researches focused on the contribution of the users. But we cannot disregard that the lurkers are probably the major users in the knowledge community. Generally, the lurkers silently seek and find information for their own need, but make no response to any topics in the community. Lurkers transform other users’s explicit knowledge into their implicit knowledge, by contrast, lurkers rarely share their implicit knowledge with other users. The issues of lurkers behavior should be squarely faced, but there are fewer relevant alent these issues whether inside or outside our country. Thus this study is innovative issues of lurkers in the knowledge community.

This study applies Triandis Model to constructing the lurker behaviors research model, hypotheses and verification, and analyze what kind of browsing lurkers will use when they find interesting or useful information. It can help the community managers to filter useful articles, and referable for design of wed communities. This study uses the internet questionnaire survey to collect data, and analysis of the reliability, validity and test the proposed hypotheses by SPSS16 and EQS6.1. Data were collected 1,015 questionnaires deducted invalid, non-lurkers, and outlier after deleting surplus 717 data.

Research result has six points: (1) Lurking because of the long time habit of lurking. (2) Lurkers had positive attitude because of perceived risk being ridiculed, criticized after post. (3) High sense of community will have the behavior of lurking. (4) Lurkers had positive attitude because of cognize ability shortage creation egoism. They are thinking important to quickly searching knowledge. (5) Lurkers wouldn’t like to post statements which may mislead other members altruism when recognize ability shortage, and don’t positive attitude because of still feel that post is benefit in the knowledge community. (6)Show in the browser acts is no.1 stay long time, no.2 click URL, no.3 copy word when lurkers find interest or useful information. Prior to mining technology included in stay and click, but doesn’t contain copy. Display mining technology is also available in advance

The contribution of uses Triandis Model as a theoretical basis with the previous application of the quality of the Institute of lurking and other factors intended mode construct at academic. This study shows that high originality because of no intention of using the past to study of lurkers. In the implications of practice, conclusions can provide information in business and community managers. We should use browser of lurkers a long time to filter and select useful pages, and reserve useful information and knowledge in community. I believe the future lurkers not only bring advertising, popularity, a little post of the value, but also filtering and selecting the value of useful pages.
