碩士 / 國立屏東科技大學 / 森林系所 / 96 / Vegetation survey was carried out in Hualien Area of Eastern Taiwan. This research also investigated and assessed rare plants based on the surveyed data. The investigation of this study, collecting the materials of the sea-shore vegetation between south bank of Hualien River on the east side of coastal area and south bank of Siouguloun River in Jingpu Village, between in the east of No.11 provincial route and the high-water mark of sea-shore. 40 plots and 19 environmental factors have been investigated and assessed. Analyzed by canonical correspondence analysis (CCA), and plant classification by two-way indicator species analysis (TWINSPAN) of the multivariate analysis method. The aim of this study is to find the significant factors to explain the relationships between species composition and environmental variables. The result based on the surveyed data, there are 113 families and 423 species of vascular plants, including 19 families and 39 species of Pteridophyte, 78 families and 309 species of Dicotyledon, and 16 families and 75 species of Monocotyledon. There are 12 plant species have been recognized as threatened taxa, Crossostephium chinense (L.) Makino are endangered species.
The major environmental factors affecting the distribution of plant vegetation in decreasing importance are altitudes, topographies, seashores, slopes, stone contents and organic matters. Classification based on the two-way indicator species analysis (TWINSPAN) resulted in 4 vegetaion types, including: (A) Digitaria sanguinalis type, (B) Lagerstroemia subcostata type, (C) Dianella ensifolia-Pandanus odoratissimus type, (D) Ipomoea pes-caprae type, (D-1) Oxalis corniculata - Pandanus odoratissimus subtype, (D-2) Ipomoea pes-caprae - Vigna marina subtype.
