The study on flow filed characteristic near the port of Taipei / 台北港海域流場特性之研究

碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 河海工程學系 / 96 / The complicated flow field characteristic near the port of Taipei is affected by the current, topography, harbor constructions, and the outflow of Danshui River. Therefore, flow field near the port of Taipei and the flow field affected by each stage of harbor construction are investigated by using the method of field observe and the numerical simulation.
In order to analyze the flow pattern of the current field near port of Taipei, the velocity and direction of current are measured simultaneous by using a current meter mounted on sea bottom and tracing floating drifters in this study. The velocity and direction of wind field around coastal area also observed to be a reference for current field analysis. For further analysis of current field changes near port of Taipei in every stage of construction, numerical simulation has been proceeded by MIKE-21 HD model. A verified calculation was performed in advance to determine the more suitable and accurate parameters as HD model input by compared with the data from field observations.
From the results of this study, it demonstrated that the current velocity at the flood was faster than that at the ebb, and the maximum velocity was less then 1.0 m/s. The current direction at the flood was in southwest, and in northeast at the ebb. The current direction at harbor entrance was the same at the flood and the ebb, and a counterclockwise circulation was formed due to the topographic effect. This phenomenon can be found from the results of HD model numerical simulation. The current direction was also the same at estuary of Danshui River in the period of flood and ebb. It can be concluded that the current direction may be affected by the effects of wind field and outflow of Danshui River from compared the results of numerical calculation and field observation. Finally, the verified HD model was used to calculate the flow field after the second stage construction of Taipei port and the numerical results can be applied as the suggestions for the rest stage of construction and the safety of navigation in the waters of Taipei port.
