Constructing the Category Table of Marine Education and Its Application-An Example for Social Studies Textbooks / 海洋教育類目表之建構及其應用─以國民小學社會領域教科書為例

碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 教育研究所 / 96 / This study used the methods of literature analysis, content analysis, questionnaire investigation and focused interview. The first purpose is to construct “ The Category Table of Marine Education”and “The Learning Content of Marine Education in Social Studies of Elementary School”,then analyzed the textbooks of Nani, Hanlin and Knsh in social studies of elementary school in the 94 school year. This study brings up the following conclusions:
1. The Category Table of Marine Education has 5 main marine categories, 15 marine sub-categories and 4 educational dimensions.
2. The marine educational contents in Competence Indicators for social studies of elementary school is not clear to find, then the derivational of the learning content of marine education doesn’t cover all categories.
3. The ratio of marine educational contents is low in textbooks in social studies of elementary school.
4. There is no rule in learning stages of marine educational contents in textbooks of elementary social studies learning areas.
5. Each edition emphasized the different content of marine education.
6. The content of marine education focus on some category.
This study brings up the following suggestions:
1. Publishing and teacher should put all categories of marine contents in the textbook and bring student abounding marine educational contents.
2. In the future, the Ministry of Education should integrate the marine education conception in to the Competence Indicators.
3. Increase the teacher’s marine consciousness and encourage School-based Marine Education Curriculum Development.
4. To draw up the learning stages of marine educational contents in textbooks in social studies of elementary school.
5. The marine educational contents should be systematical in textbooks in social studies of elementary school.
6. Reinforce the marine educational contents in textbooks in social studies of elementary school answer to the learning content of marine education.
