On the establishment of a 3D wake measurement system by using 5-hole pitot tube / 五孔皮托管量測船艉3D跡流的建立

碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 系統工程暨造船學系 / 96 / The purpose of the present study is to establish a three-dimensional nominal wake measurement system at the large-cavitations tunnel by using a set of five-holes Pitot tubes. The calibration tables of pitot tubes which had been previously built at the medium-cavitations tunnel are used to transform the measured pressure into velocity.
The nominal wake experiment was performed at National Taiwan Ocean University’s (NTOU) Large-Cavitations Tunnel. The nominal wakes of two ship model were measured in the tunnel. One is a 8.15m long container ship model. The nominal wake obtained was compared with that measured in the HSVA towing tank. The other is a 5.1m long ocean research ship model.
Comparing the results of the container ship model measured at the NTOU tunnel and that measured at the HSVA towing tank, it is found that the wall effect at the Large-Cavitations Tunnel exists when the length of the ship model is larger than 8 meters.
