碩士 / 海洋大學 / 商船學系所 / 96 / This study aims to probe into the content of On-board Training Program of Maritime Colleges in both Taiwan and Japan, and to furthermore look into how these two programs implement nowadays.
The procedures of this study are: (1) to collect the latest documents related to On-board Training Programs in Maritime Colleges in Taiwan and Japan ; (2) to collect the latest documents related to the examination of navigation staff and the regulation of license release; (3) based on the materials collected, to distinguish the similarities from differences of the On-board Training Programs in Maritime Colleges both in Taiwan and Japan; (4) As per research results, to propose a suggestion, which may improve our On-board Training Programs in Maritime Colleges.
This study is conducted mainly on reviewing the historical documents, which derive from the collection of published reports, journals, columns, and information from the internet both domestically and worldwide. Through comparing the current On-board Training Programs in Taiwan with those in Japan, we can find that our current On-board Training Programs exists problems of the implementation time and regulations. In addition, owing to insufficient Training Ships and the limits of exams for license release in Taiwan, Maritime College students need to wait even longer time to become a seaman after they graduated. Therefore, to provide some suggestions for our On-board Training Programs in Maritime Colleges and Training Ships upgrade in the end of this study. Hope this will contribute some towards our future maritime staff cultivation and fruitful development.
