Working on ships can be very dangerous. Accidents are heard from time to time. This thesis was written in the attempt of telling our seafarers the remedies they can get when accidents(including injury, illness and death) arise.
In addition to showing our seafarers the remedies according to our laws, this thesis also tried to compare those remedies with the standards set by the International Labor Organization(ILO), to let our seafarers know their privileges from an international point of view, and finally, compare with US standards, so that they can judge relatively by themselves, if the rights and welfare specifically accorded to them by our laws are good enough in all.
