Research on the Transformational leadership and organizational-A Case study of reconnaissance Brigade of Coast Guard Administration / 轉換型領導方式與組織績效關係之研究-以海巡署機動查緝隊為例

碩士 / 國立臺東大學 / 區域政策與發展研究所 / 96 / This study of transformation leadership and organization performance as illustrated with the recon bridge of the Coast Guard Administration is done based on the primary motives as follows:
1. In recent years, the discharge and retirement rate of commanding officers is rather high, and it has imposed tremendous pressure upon the leadership as commanding officers have to confront personnel of recon brigadewith diversified educational background.
2. For the time being, “crackdown on vice” is one of the major task
of the government, and the inspection personnel is awarded with
tremendousresponsibility in cracking down outlaw and improving social environment of law and order. In view of various natures of project assignments,it is such duty of the greatest urgency that how these inspectionpersonnel can generate breakthrough with regard to their dilemmaencountered now.
This study has conducted questionnaire investigation focused on the affiliated cadres of the recon brigade, and the flow of research is planned out in three respective stages and they are elaborated as follows:
1. Establishment stage for theoretical structure
First of all, the research theme has to be ascertained, and then all of the relevant literatures found within the research scope are gathered for investigation, while appreciation and systematic analysis are fully conducted with regard to research and relevant theory done before so as to build up theoretical structure through it.
2. Investigation stage of questionnaire design
Based the literature investigation and structure establishment, major duty, leadership and command of the commanding officer, and design of questionnaire questions on coast guard performance evaluation, they will be employed to assess the relationship between “transformation leadership” and “organization performance.”
3. Substantiation stage of theoretical structure
In this stage, questionnaire will be retrieved, and statistic analysis and information processing will then be conducted, aside from classifying questionnaire. And the results obtained from this research will be further analyzed and discussed so that it can be submitted to the higher or relevant authorities for recommendation and reference in operation.
From above-mentioned research and analytic results, each of the following suggestions is put forth:
1.Level of commanding officers should, during their regular days,
appreciate deeply the needs of the inspection cadres so as to render
timely concern and provide suggestions for improvement.
2. Since the Coast Guard Administration is a law-enforcement authority,
each of the inspection cadre is equipped with the capability of judiciary
police (officer), professional training should be well planned to
facilitatethe achievement of anti-smuggling operation.
3. Modify and review current assessment points and system for work
performance so as to timely and appropriately reflect the voice and dil-
igence of the inspection personnel, thus enhancing the effect for anti-
smuggling operation.
4. Openly celebrate inspection cadres of brilliant performance in various
occasions so as to enhance work performance and their sense of
achievement.
