Analysis of the Value of Blue Ocean Strategy for Footwear Industry-A Case Study in Taiwan / 台灣製鞋業藍海策略價值之分析─以個案公司為例

碩士 / 靜宜大學 / 管理碩士在職專班 / 96 / In the beginning of 1987 , Taiwan faced with the dollar undergoing a fierce revaluation , and the New Taiwan Dollar revalued largely. In a short time of 3 years, the New Taiwan Dollar has altogether revalued nearly 45%. In the meantime, Taiwan industry faced against the labor force shortage problem, with the regard to the dependency on exports and the need of massive labor forces in the footwear industry, it is no doubt the hardest time of all. This time just happens to meet the mainland China opening to economic reform, relying on inexpensive costs of labor force, raw materials and rent of soil etc. China has sets up each kind of industrial district with plans, and formulates all kinds of preferential policy which greatly attract those Taiwan industries with large labor forces to go and stay in China. Facing with this industrial offset it creates the supply chain structure with a reorganized problem. The management strategy of Taiwan shoe manufacture industries will become the survival key to the next wave.
This research utilized systematic concepts, stressed the relation of interaction between systems and environments. From inputs, transferring process, outputs, feedback & revise and so on, with all aspects to discuss how the case company can use the core technology and the relational capital to reorganized the upstream and downstream of the supply chain, and then develops the case company''s blue sea strategy. This research takes the case company''s business model as an example; the blue ocean system model is constructed by an open and interactive system viewpoint. In the final, used the basic mosaic concept of value circle which is proposed in this research, as the foundation to discuss further, on the case company leader’s special characteristic, the industrial management culture and the product characteristic difference. As well as the influence and the reference value of this kind of blue ocean strategy on high and low supply chains of the entire traditional shoe manufacture industry.
