Impacts of Onshore Wind Turbines on Birds Community :A Cast Study of Lun Wei Wind Farm in Chang Hua Coastal Industrial Park / 海岸風力發電機對鳥類群聚的影響-彰濱工業區崙尾風力場為例

碩士 / 靜宜大學 / 生態學研究所 / 96 / Studies of onshore wind farm impacts on birds community, habitat use, flight behavior and collision risk at Chang Hua Coast. The investigation of bird ecology were carried during the breeding season (April to September) and non-breeding season (October to Frebruary) from 2005 to 2007, which divided into three stages of without wind turbines, installing, and operational. 11 Orders 88 species 223, 479 birds were found in this wind farm. There were 25% of bird population number declined and 25 speices were missing after the wind turbines operated. Spatial distribution of birds roosting were random before wind turbines operation, but were clumped far away from wind turbines after operation. Flight routes of shorebirds were also changed before and after wind turbines operation during the non-breeding season. They used a new route and the distance was up to 100m away from wind turbines. Little Terns were still clump distributed, somehow a few were near the wind turbines during the breeding season. There were 1,307 bird times changing their flight route suddenly while they flew close to wind turbines. 5 species of dead bird remains possible collided with wind turbines were found that 8 individuals were during breeding and one during non-breeding season.
