A study of the Influence of the Taipei-Yilan Freeway on Tourists Loyalty in Jaushi Hot Spring Resort. / 北宜高速公路開通後對礁溪溫泉區遊客忠誠度的影響

According to the Tourism Bureau statistics(2007), since days off on weekends was brought into force, the standard of living has constantly been elevated, the scale of the Taiwanese taking up sightseeing tour has been quite enlarged too, it also has gradually become the fashion of the time. Whenever weekends or holidays arrive, each and every scenic spot and tourist resort is filled with visitors, with streams of people crowding all over. Last year, Jaushi was the fourth in traveling rate. After the Taipei-Yilan Freeway was opened , it is important to know whether it could help upsurge the sightseeing in the area, it become the key points of this research. Based on simple convenience sampling principle and questionnaire survey, the study showed the setting attributes were divided into four dimensions: physical setting attribute, social setting attribute, managerial setting attribute, and activity facilities setting attribute. To understand the relationship between satisfaction of setting attributes and loyalty, the study used the Important-Performance analysis.

The results of the empirical analysis suggest that the main customer group of home stay facilities in Jaushi area is of young-to-middle aged servicing business employees that have high education levels and middle-to-high average incomes. The study of relationship between the setting attributes and loyalty of the visitors found that the satisfaction of setting attributes played a direct and positive effect on the customers’loyalty levels and repurchase intention.
