碩士 / 東吳大學 / 微生物學系 / 96 / Nonylphenol (NP) belongs to one group of endorcine disrupting chemicals (EDCs). NP effects on procreation, nerve, immunity and survival through accumulating in the organism. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of NP on susceptibility of pathogen, eight cellular genes expression and sensitivity of giant freshwater prawn (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) via oral treatment. The results of susceptibility showed that 50% of shrimps died after the shrimps has been separately treated at 100 mg for 6 days. The death rate could decrease when NP has been thinned with PBS. The results of genes expression showed that the immune genes, alpha-2 microglobulin (??2m), antimicrobial peptides (amp), peroxinectin (pon), prophenoloxidase (propo) and serine protease inhibitor (spi), were more enhanced than control after separately oral treatment at 100 mg for 1 day. However, the gene spi was decreased and the genes amp, pon and propo were enhanced after separately oral treatment at 100 mg for 3 days. The respiratory gene, cytochrome oxidase subunit (cos), was no different from control. Unknown genes, hypothetical protein 3 (hp3) and unnamed protein product (un),were enhanced after 1 day and no different from control to proceed with treatment. The results of genes sensitivity showed that the immune genes amp, pon, propo, spi and unknown gene hp3 were enhanced after the concentration decreased to 10 mg/prawn. The genes propo and spi were enhanced after separately oral treatment at 1 mg for 1 day. Based on these results, NP will have an effect on shimp’s health by over immune response in high concentration. There is ever a possibility that NP increases susceptibility by physiology. However, investigation of other effects will still be needed in the future.
