碩士 / 元智大學 / 管理研究所 / 96 / Ｔhis article discussed the actively reform of the bank’s strategy and result, while the Chinese banking industry facing the open of the money market, under the poor management difficult position, how to increase banking’s competitiveness, when the Cross-Strait both of Taiwan and China join the World Trade Organization (WTO) officially at year’s beginning of 2002.By way of case study of the overseas merger of state-owned bank of China, to discuss the overseas merger strategic of Chinese banking industry, and to analyze the reform thoughts and achievements of Chinese government.
Research shows, the overseas banking merger for Chinese banking industry acted mainly at the Southeast Asia region. They usually aimed at the local small and medium bank as their target. For the sake of increasing the overseas banking channel and to obtain the essential operating concessions, the Chinese banking industry has not only adopted the purchase way to effect the goal. As for the advanced area, in order to obtain corporate chance with the advanced banking, to learn their core technology, to promote the ability of international management of Chinese banking industry, they also has adopted the joint stock system bank.
The Chinese banking industry carried on multinational merger actively under support of government’s policy, and obeyed the government’s policy to proceed the expanded of economy scale. They reached the development in pluralism of the assets and business through multinational merger, also upgraded the BIS ratio of banking and international competitiveness. In sum, the Chinese banking industry carried on multinational merger has further break through already.
Looking forward to the future, under the effect of China enters into such financial listed companies as the banking etc., there will be more and more banking institute to carry on multinational merger, to achieve globalization and comprehensive management, further to upgrade their core competitiveness. That will offer a good financial service for Chinese company to develop their overseas business. There for, the more China’s economic force getting strengthen, the more China’s economic influence power of trade investment will be. Meanwhile, China establishes political relation with various countries in order to get strategic interests, and to set up regional hegemony.
Taiwan not only should pay attention to the Chinese market, but also should have sense of risk to their policy. Because China influences the economic degree to come higher than other countries do in policy. There shall be have a risk defense mechanism, act with prudence but positive attitude to deal with the Chinese market .To build up and construct a perfect and healthy environment of business culture and management. To create a fair and reasonable competitive environment, and to comply with the demand of knowledge economic to set up a new economic model.
