Study of Cognition, Motivation and Leisure Constraints on the Recreational Diving / 休閒潛水活動認知、動機及休閒阻礙之探討

碩士 / 真理大學 / 休閒遊憩事業學系碩士班 / 98 / The purpose of this study aims to discuss the relationships among cognition, motivation and leisure constraints of Recreational divers in Green Island. The questionnaire was constructed to gather the basic information, and valid data was conducted with reliability analysis, descriptive statistics, t-test, factor analysis, multiple regression analysis, simple regression and analysis of Pearson’s corrrelation. The results are as follow:
(a) Snorkelers are mainly of students, which is low-income, and the participating behavior of most scuba divers are belongs to serious leisure.
(b) Snorkelers are mainly attracted by the environment and ecological resources on the cognition aspect, and scuba divers are mainly attracted by the acquirement of skills and knowledge. Snorkelers and scuba divers are mainly experiencing and enjoying the seascape and diverse organisms on the motivation aspect. The leisure constraints of snorkelers are mainly on the structure and interpersonal constructs, but the constraint of scuba divers is mainly on the special needs with activity.
(c) There are significance level found between the snorkers and scuba divers on the cognition, motivation and leisure constraints aspects.
(d) Snorkelers’ cognition has a positive effect on the motivation and leisure constraints. There is no significant relation between motivation and leisure constraints, but scuba divers’cognition has a significant positive effect on the motivation, and there is positive relation between motivation and leisure constraints.
According to the results of this study, the cognition has a significant positive effect on leisure constraints. It is truly suggested to promote the participation of recreational diving through education on enhancing the cognition of safely diving, personal innate characteristics and activity characteristics.
