碩士 / 逢甲大學 / 工業工程與系統管理學研究所 / 97 / At present, all fields are in keen competition so that most enterprises establish factories and supply channels around the internations to let their new products rapidly share market. How to reduce material delivery cost then becomes a main research subject.
To prevent a shortage of raw material cause by cost increase problem, most companies'' production model is multi-countries, profession, vertical labor of each division. Therefore, supplies of semi-products and raw material need to be delivered on schedule exactly. The cost and timing of transportation between factories and countries have to be calculated accurately that can prevent cost waste, out of order of material and de livery delay.
In general, a material delivery planner would choose sea-freight transportation order to lower cost; however, if any urgent is occurred, they must change the original rule of transportation, and adopt air-freight with a much higher costs to maintain the operation well for the overall production. But it would generate a higher cost by extra transportation costs. Use precise Six Sigma, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis could analyze each case, and probe into those factors of their delivery variation. This research might avoid or prevent the variant delivery method, and achieve cost reduction with unexpected transportation limited, and accurate delivery schedule could achieve the objectives.
By a case study, deliveries changes are caused by three major reasons, they are shipping date requirement, material supply and production line variability. The responsible departments are sales, manufacturing, process control, planning control and other departments. By a further analysis, this research will highlight some methods of corresponding prevention and improvement plan, such like the verification for urgent material by air freight is necessary or not, electronic document implementing and so on.
