The case corporation is an upstream manufacturer of the IDM industry. Bullwhip effects on the upstream manufacturer have more influence that because the characteristic of IC product is shorter life cycle, demand and price variety.
In the last six months W corporation adopted a VMI project. Semiconductor industry investment characteristics of high-cost equipment that continually develop new process to reduce manufacturing costs. The cost of products priced below the market caused by the negative profits. So they try another way to improve transport time and lower cost to the implementation of VMI model.
The operate model of the case corporation at this paper. Systematically step-by-step process to discussion and implementation collect and collate the literature using different reference methods of logistics. In the practical application of VMI, which is on the flow, logistics, information flow and business stream will be implemented to extract the essence of experience to provide practical management processes VMI experience-sharing. The relevant industries in the import of such a mechanism as a strategy to achieve effective inventory management, and enhance customer satisfaction and develop more efficient logistics management practices and more accurate demand forecasts. Provide interested persons as future of carried out and development. The result of this paper is effective in improving the quality of logistics, time and cost control.
