碩士 / 佛光大學 / 未來學系 / 97 / The purpose of this study is to explore: 1. the different factors which may affect the willingness of Taiwan medical doctors to practice medicine in Shanghai, Mainland China; 2. the volition of these doctors to practice medicine in Shanghai; 3. the possible working models they may adopt to start their career over there.
This research was performed by questionnaire survey and literatures review. Our target studied group was from the Medical Doctors practicing in Ilan of Taiwan. The information obtained from their responds to the questionnaires was collected and then analyzed statistically. The results were processed with the commonly-used statistic software package (SPSS 12.0 for windows). The statistical methods employed include descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-factorial ANOVA. Comparison of our results and cross references of the conclusions obtained were made by reviewing our available literatures.
Based on the analyses of the information we gathered, several phenomena can be observed:
1.There is quite a large portion of Taiwan medical doctors having willingness to practice medicine in Mainland China; however very few of them will take immediate action to go there. It indicates that they are only interested but hesitated in practicing medicine there;
2.Taiwan medical doctors seem to know very little or none at all about the medical environment, medicine enactments and medical system of the Mainland China;
3.Sex difference, age factors, marital status, educational degree and different medical specialties do not affect the willingness of the Taiwan medical doctors to practice medicine in Mainland China;
4.The main factors affecting the willingness of Taiwan medical doctors to practice medicine in Mainland China are the vast medical market of Mainland China and the present reimbursement problem of Taiwan government health insurance.
Finally, according to this research, we have these suggestions and guidelines to those Taiwan medical doctors having willingness to work in Shanghai of Mainland China.
