碩士 / 開南大學 / 物流與航運管理學系 / 97 / Taiwan is a state surrounded by sea that makes our shipping industry the key importance to our economy. National fleets have encountered recession since the number of fleets reduced seriously, including flagging out of ships in recent years. Nevertheless, Singapore spreads out its greatest ambition to develop its registry of ships and construction at the same time, desiring to be the shipping hub of the world. Not only does Singapore widely attract the entry of registry worldwide, but it also maintains the leading position of container port. The purpose of this study is to focus on the system of Singapore Registration, aiming to find out the advantages of Singapore in open registry of ships and how Taiwan can overcome the difficulties under recent strategy. Last but not least, we make suggestions to improve the strategy of ship registry of Taiwan as well.
