碩士 / 國立中興大學 / 國際政治研究所 / 97 / Four regional wars took place in the Post-Cold War intern-nationally. It had great influence urging China Revolution in Military Affairs ( RMA) to develop the military modernization. From the Gulf War, Afghanistan War, Kosovo War to the American Iraq''s War, with the application of the modern weapons, it fosters the concept and conduct of the military and makes dramatic changes all over the world. China is growing up fast in economy and also devotes to defense development. It is a regional power now, so I want to understand the influence of China’s RMA in the Asian-Pacific area.
The research takes “historical analysis” approach to explain the course and influence of the incident development. Also, using “document analysis” approach collects China government''s military, media and the decuments to analyze and discuss.
The new security view that China puts forward is regarding mutual trust, mutual benefit, and equality. Although China recommends “Peaceful Rise” internationally, it insists on the road of the peaceful development in order to reduce the doubts of various countries of the Asian-Pacific area, but, on the other hand,it still makes efforts in the military modernization continuously, mainly comes from maintaining its sovereignty and territory threat in its security of US-Japan Alliance.
Since 1990, China has been achieved in weapon development and has some certain influence in Asian-Pacific area. Taiwan Strait is part of Asia-Pacific area, so it is closely linked to the security of the Taiwan Strait naturaly. Although the cross-strait relations are getting better gradually, we still need to possess enough defence force. In the future, our country should ensure the safety of state sovereignty, set up two sides military trust mechanism, establish the cooperation between the two sides'' economy structures and have enough defense military force. In so doing, it could create the double-win of the two sides together.
