The Preliminary Study of GPR for Application toUnderwater Exploration / 透地雷達應用於水下探測之初步研究

碩士 / 國立成功大學 / 土木工程學系碩博士班 / 97 / The purpose of this study is to use GPR to detect the underwater soil profile. To achieve this purpose, the trigger for surveying needs to be changed from wired to wireless remote control. To initiate the GPR surveying from the floating on the water, the existing GPR wired control system have to be improved. The existing measurement is triggered by the measuring wheel. In this improvement the measuring wheel signal is replaced by the remote control. Because of high attenuation of the radar signal, how to use the low frequency antenna to penetration deeper and high frequency antenna to get fine resolution is very important issue. After the tests, the GPR signal is used to do the signal process with Hilbert transform, and the results are presented with graphs of amplitude contour. The results show that the position of the underwater objects and the depth of the pool can be easily identified using the Hilbert transform process. From a series of GPR tests, the results show that GPR could be applied to underwater exploration more easily and efficiently.
