The blocks and the streets and the sewers were exchanging discharge that should be analyzed when the storm happened.
The purpose of this study was to set up the Streets-Sewers Drainage-Inundation model and the exchanging discharge in the streets and the sewers. It was also to see the street network system as the drained system of one-dimension gradually varied flow and combine with the quasi-two-dimension inundated model as the basis if the disaster prevention plan or the design of the drained system in the future.
In this study, applying the slope-area method and the discharge law of storm sewers to set up the Sewers Drainage model, developing the numerical method to calculate the discharge in sewers by water levels in manholes at each ends.
The model was tested for the case of the design. The result of the case showed that the model to calculate the exchanging discharge was reasonable and it also could simulate the inundation situation in the blocks, the streets and the sewers. The study should collect observations and compare the result with it.
