碩士 / 國立暨南國際大學 / 資訊管理學系 / 97 / In recent years, e-learning started to be our government's attention, however, e-learning is also necessary to have a good e-learning platform to support in order to obtain good learning results. As a result of commercial software platform for e-Learning costs are too high, the number of free software learning platform will gradually be taken seriously. Because of the support for Chinese, multi-site, and multi-function modules, Moodle is now the Taiwan's largest teaching platform of freeware.
The most important source of support for Freeware is the "community" which assembled by various social groups and their concern and decisions shape the way of Moodle development.
This study uses social shaping of technology view, looking Moodle implementation process at NCNU and THU. This study try to identify how different social groups affect the development of Moodle.
Via interviews, data collection and analysis, this study found that school-related social groups regarding school budget, school culture, stakeholders, users’ demand, affect the design of Moodle, and Moodle design in turn affect the use of the relevant groups.
