Integration of single-stage assembly schedules with transportation programs in supply chain management / 整合運輸規劃與單機排程下的供應鏈管理

碩士 / 國立嘉義大學 / 運輸與物流工程研究所 / 97 / With the rapid changes in consumer behaviors, the logistics performances of companies are required to be more efficient. The evaluation of their performances may depend on whether the products ordered can be made to meet the customer's requirements, whether the orders can be shipped on time and if there will be products in store. To achieve this goal, the problems of production scheduling and transportation allocation are viewed as an important vehicle in the production and supply chain management. Production scheduling has a direct impact on production performance. Good production scheduling will result in high production performance, while a poor one will result in low production performance. Transportation scheduling decision plays an important role in whether or not orders can be shipped to customers on time, whether or not the transportation fee can be cut down, and so on. Obviously, production scheduling decision can influence the decision of transportation scheduling, and both of them have a direct impact on a company’s logistics performance. Thus, operating in a global market, production scheduling decision along with transportation scheduling decision should be simultaneously considered. In the past, most references separately discuss these two issues. However, as enterprises confront these two problems, this research studies transportation scheduling and production by using multiple destinations and a single machine. The purpose is to minimize the overall cost, which includes inventory holding cost, transportation cost, delivery earliness penalty costs and delivery tardiness penalty costs. This paper develops a nonlinear integer programming model and a sensitivity analysis is conducted to show the extent of influence on the objective cost.
