A Study on Military Parts-sparing Requirement Improvement with Data Mining Technology—a Case of R.O.C Navy / 應用資料探勘技術精進國軍備料需求之研究—以海軍為例

碩士 / 國防大學國防管理學院 / 國防資訊研究所 / 97 / For the military, equipments are basis of battle ability. Therefore, physical battle ability enhancement depends on properly operations of equipments. Logistics are the major key factor for equipments to operate properly. Logistics of equipments involve many parts supplies; it is a multifarious and disorderly job for the military. It is helpful for the military to improve logistic operations with information skills. This study tries to discuss the R. O.C. navy logistic operation with a data mining technique. It can help the navy to realize a relation between parts’ purchase and usages with a data mining tool in the past. With data mining results, hiding information can be found. The navy can base on the found information to purchase their required parts and improve their logistic operation’s performance. This will enhance equipments’ availability and avoid part purchase wasting.
In this study, apriori data mining analysis tool is adopted with the WEKA. Several logistic part data are used to analyze; the data includes parts of warships and some devices used in land. With the data mining results, this study tries to find the reason why the navy seldom purchases some parts; it is helpful for the navy to enhance its logistic operation.
