A study of the sixth-grade elementary school students'' conservation concepts of marine ecology in Kaohsiung and Pingtung / 高高屏地區國小六年級學童海洋生態保育概念之調查研究

碩士 / 國立屏東教育大學 / 數理教育研究所 / 97 / The purpose of this research was to understand the sixth-grade elementary school students’ conservation concepts of marine ecology, and to compare the differences among students with different background.
This research took the sixth-grade students as study samples. The researcher used self-designed “The questionnaire of the sixth-grade student’s conservation concepts of marine ecology” as a study tool, and selected 533 students by using cluster random sampling method. The efficient samples were 494. The obtained data were analyzed by the descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way variance analysis, and a posteriori comparisons in HSD method.
According to the analytical data, the final result of this study were as following:
1.In the whole, most sixth-grade elementary students in Kaohsiung and Pingtung were short of conservation concepts of marine ecology.
2.Most sixth-grade elementary students possessed the concepts of the factors affecting marine ecology, but were short of the concepts of the elements forming marine ecology.
3.The significant differences were found on students’ conservation concepts of marine ecology by inhabiting city and county, living environment, sex, parent’s levels of education, father’s job, sources of conservation, experiences of marine visits, and experiences of marine activities.
4.Most students got information of conservation of marine ecology from extracurricular books.
In conclusion, according to the result, some suggestion were provided to the education administration organization, school administration organization, the elementary school teachers, and the future studies.
